What is inmuJOY?
An inmuJOY is a beautifully designed sensory tool that appeals to people of all ages. With calming but uplifting music, inmuJOY starts to vibrate gently when you touch it using advanced software and sensor technology. The user controls the changes in the music by the way they move. With more movement, the music speeds up and adds in more complex tunes and more instruments. It quietens when it is still, and fades to 'sleep' mode when not in use, or if the person is still. Slight movement, and the inmuJOY starts up again.
The inmuJOY is a 'pebble' shaped cushion measures 23 x 20 x 8cm and weighs approximately 470 grams, making it portable and easy to handle. It has a tactile cover with multiple textures on one side, and is soft and fluffy on the other side. It features a pocket to put your hand or foot in for extra comfort and support. The inmuJOY has a rechargeable battery, which will last over the course of the day or night. There are three different volume levels to match your mood or environment. The quietest mode can be used without disturbing others around you.
inmuJOY has two small loops. In one of them hangs an inmu pendant that can also be used as a chew if required. Connect other fidgets to have on hand while resting with the inmuJOY. A shoulder strap to connect to the inmuJOY is also available for those who wish to carry it around easily.

inmuJOY is robust and hygienic
An inmuJOY is designed to be used by people with motor or cognitive challenges. It is made of robust materials and can withstand being dropped or thrown. You can even sit or stand on it without breaking it. The cover is easy to remove and can be washed at 60ºC. inmuJOY is protected with a water-repellent inner cover and can withstand liquid splashes, but should never be immersed in liquids. Both the outer cover and the inmu core can be wiped with a damp cloth and cleaned with 70-85% ethanol.
